Canterbury Bears Anne Mepham

Anne Mepham is an evacuee bear. She is wearing her Sunday best outfit. A camel-coloured pure wool coat, fully lined with ultra-suede and fastened together with four mother-of-pearl buttons. She has a floral bow on the side of her head, a gas mask box, emergency instructions and her identity tag. She is in search of a home but hopes no one will notice the darns in her woollen felt paws.
Anne is made from sandy coloured long pile mohair, she has black glass eyes and a matching hand-stitched nose. Her tummy is partly bean filled giving her a lovely weighty feel.
