Golden Girl of the May

This stunning Celtic princess is a beautiful creation in apple green, soft yellow and 18-carat gold - as lovely as a spring morning. Gifted sculptor Peter Holland was inspired by one of the greatest traditional Welsh poems - 'May and January' and has created a very special Golden Girl for our Celtic Kingdom collection. She holds an intricately sculpted, hand-painted May wreath studded with eight tiny primroses individually hand-made by Royal Worcester's expert china flower artists. Her wonderful green dress is decorated with an 18-carat gold floral pattern and a delicate gold Celtic interlace pattern on the sleeves. Especial highlights are her bodice and necklace, where spots of ceramic colour, expertly applied in relief, make them appear to be studded with precious amethysts, citrines and emeralds. Throughout this exquisite creation is a wealth of hand-embellished gold giving her the delightful sensation of being bathed in rays of spring sunshine. Limited Edition of 7,500.
