In accessing the ComptonandWoodhouse.co.uk site and/or purchasing from the ComptonandWoodhouse.co.uk site you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Certain of our products are not for sale to those resident in the USA and Canada. If you live in these jurisdictions you should not attempt to place an order.
Every effort has been taken to ensure that the information contained within this site is correct and up to date. However, it should be noted that the information could become incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Compton and Woodhouse reserves the right to change, amend or update information within this site.
We will not be liable to you or in breach of the contract for delay or failure to perform due to any causes beyond the control of Compton and Woodhouse or its suppliers.
Any details with which you provide us are held and processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
All prices within the Compton and Woodhouse website are given in pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT. Postage and Packaging is charged where applicable.

Your purchase is covered by our excellent home approval guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, just return the item to us unused, in its original condition and undamaged packaging, within 30 days from the date of despatch, and any money paid for the product will be refunded. For your own protection, be sure to retain a Proof Of Posting. Please note that we cannot apply this Home Approval Scheme to personalised products, which may not be returned unless faulty. This pledge is in addition to your statutory rights. For hygiene reasons, we would ask you to refrain from trying on jewellery for pierced ears. We reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses if the product has been worn. Faulty goods should be returned for a refund or replacement.
Should you fail to make a payment, or if you pay less than the minimum amount due, and we or someone acting for us have to remind you, we reserve the right to make a reasonable administrative charge to cover our costs. The current charge is £12, but this is subject to variation at any time. You will be given reasonable notice of any change to these charges.
The consumer's contract with Compton and Woodhouse does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
We may decline (without giving any reason) to accept an offer to purchase any of our products. Acknowledgement of your order is not acceptance.
A credit check may be carried out by a licensed Credit Reference Agency.

Anniversary Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

This Prize Draw (“the draw”) is run by Haroldrex Ventures Limited (“Haroldrex”), Compass House, 22 Redan Place, London W2 4SA.
The draw will run from 20th May 2010 ("the start date") to 31st August 2010 ("the closing date") inclusive. Entries received outside of these dates will not be eligible for entry.
Customers selected for eligible entry into the draw will be allocated a unique number prior to their receiving a promotion(s) (“the promotions”). The customer is entered into the draw automatically upon ordering a product featured in the promotions for which they have been selected. Some customers may receive more than one promotion and more than one draw number: they may enter the draw again upon ordering another product from the subsequent promotion.
Customers who return their product(s) for any reason may have their entry into the draw withdrawn.
Employees of Haroldrex (both permanent and temporary), their immediate families, friends and anyone involved in the creation and promotion of the draw (including advertising and media agencies if relevant) may not enter the draw.
Only customers of Haroldrex who have been selected for the promotions, who reside in the UK and who order any product(s) featured in the promotions, may enter the draw. No-one under the age of 18 may enter the draw.
There is one prize of £25,000 in cash (“the prize”).
A winning number will be selected randomly and independently before the start date from a sequence of numbers supplied by Haroldrex. This number will be retained in secure conditions so that Haroldrex, its employees and suppliers, have no sight of or access to it. Haroldrex will assign numbers randomly to all customers selected for the promotions from the same range of random numbers from which the winning number has been selected, but only numbers submitted from customers who order products will be considered for participation in the draw. It is estimated that the odds of winning are 1 in 1 million.
No later than one calendar month following the closing date, Haroldrex will take delivery of the randomly selected winning number and will check it against all the eligible numbers entered into the draw. If an entered number matches the winning number, then the customer who had been allocated that winning number will be deemed to have won the prize and will be informed of their win by Haroldrex no later than seven days’ later.
A mutually convenient time and payment method will be agreed with the winning customer for the customer to receive the prize.
Haroldrex reserves the right to use the winning customer’s name and image in future publicity but will agree the form of this publicity with the customer.
Haroldrex is registered under the Data Protection Act and rigorously conforms with its conditions as a data user.
Haroldrex reserves the right to terminate the draw as a result of an unforeseen event such as “force majeure” or an Act of God.
Participating customers and other interested parties may request information about the result of the draw by writing to Haroldrex after the closing date at the address shown above, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
